It's Getting Late

Well, I have lost the same post twice.

It's almost two thirty in the morning, and I am too upset with Blogger and the internet and my computer and whatever other evil forces are conspiring to keep me from posting tonight to attempt another one. AND I am too tired.

So, instead, I will post my song. You know, the song that you feel was written just for you; the one that you can listen to a million times and never grow tired of it; the one you can crank up to full blast in your car with the windows down, and belt it out at the top of your lungs and feel somehow cleansed by the end of the song? Or maybe that's just me.

Kelly Clarkson, Hear Me

You gotta be out there
You gotta be somewhere
Wherever you are
I'm waiting
'Cause there are these nights when
I sing myself to sleep
And I'm hopin' my dreams
Bring you close to me
Are you listening?

Hear me
I'm cryin' out
I'm ready now
Turn my world upside down
Find me
I'm lost inside the crowd
It's getting loud
I need you to see
I'm screaming for you to please
Hear me

Can you hear me?
Hear me

I used to be scared of
Letting someone in
But it gets so lonely
Being on my own
No one to talk to
And no one to hold me
I'm not always strong
Oh, I need you here
Are you listening?

Hear me
I'm cryin' out
I'm ready now
Turn my world upside down
Find me
I'm lost inside the crowd
It's getting loud
I need you to see
I'm screaming for you to please
Hear me

I'm restless and wild
I fall, but I try
I need someone to understand
Can you hear me?
I'm lost in my thoughts
And baby I've fought
For all that I've got
Can you hear me?

Hear me
I'm cryin' out
I'm ready now
Turn my world upside down
Find me
I'm lost inside the crowd
It's getting loud
I need you to see
I'm screaming for you to please
Hear me

I'm sorry to hear that you place any kind of importance on a song by Kelly Clarkson. You are identifying yourself with a song that was prolly written by some dude sitting in an office and subsequently sold to Clarkson's agent. How empty is that?

I always write in WORD first then copy and paste my post onto blogger in case it decides to be a jerk! :)

I think a song can be your song regardless of where it came from or who wrote it. If the lyrics have some importance to you, then why does the origin of the song matter? Take me for example. I tend to identify with many backstreet boys, spice girls and n'sync songs. I suppose you're going to tell me those are manufactured, too? Yeah right...

joking...

I felt just like that in 1990. Don't know who Kelly Clarkson is though.
