So I feel like I should, you know, give something back for taking so much time off. (I'm a little jealous of your FOUR paid weeks a year...A LOT jealous, actually!) BUT, the bright side, my employer-paid-for health care is covering all of my medical expenses, leaving me without having to pay a dime for any of it.

Editter, your advice to remove my fabulous toenail polish makes me sad, but I love the your silver-lining of the recovery process. :)

Anonymous, yeah, I know...MOM!

Anno, I may have to check out that book too. I read its review on Amazon, and it looks intruiging. I'm always on the lookout for new, interesting reads.

PN, I'm scared of Laurie Notaro, too. But I'm just going to throw caution to the wind and take a chance. Hey, I'm getting my ovaries played with, I might as well take a risk with a new author while I'm at it. I'm CRAZY!!!! And I'll keep an eye out for that diaper bag. What do you want to bet they'll actually have it? Then I'll be forced to buy it for you!

Tiffany, I'm glad you've had good experiences with Ms. Notaro. I love that you offered to send them to me, but as it turns out, my awesome grandmother is getting them for me, in lieu of being here for my recovery (she lives in Kentucky). And feel free to suggest country singers. I'm an equal-opportunity music lover!Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04471346127395431889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10095069.post-1153096958141877392006-07-16T20:42:00.000-04:002006-07-16T20:42:00.000-04:00Don't you get paid sick days from work? I know folks in the US don't get free healthcare and that is bad enough (not that ours is free, it is a 1% tax on your earnings, or 2% if you earn over a set amount). And I know you don't always get the same deal on holidays as us (we get 4 weeks paid a year as standard). But it also sounds like you don't get paid sick days. That's bad.theotherbearhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12592106243268321644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10095069.post-1153006659357461282006-07-15T19:37:00.000-04:002006-07-15T19:37:00.000-04:00damn, I missed a grammar post! Let me know how it goes. I just don't want to be disappointed.

I've been to one of those purse parties. Even though you know you should not be paying so much for fake stuff, you can't help but be sucked in...that said, if you happen to come across this one (preferably in green...not the messenger style, only the tote-diaper-bag-sized style), and you buy it, I will totally, 100% pay you back.

Cute diaper bags are really super hard to come by.

William and Laurie sounds like a very regal couple. She's hysterical! And they're quick reads - perfect for your rehab.

Are you into girl groups with awesome harmony? Check out Antigone Rising. They have a website where I think you can sample some of their music. I discovered it last summer and it's by far my favorite sing along in the car CD.

Umm... that's it. The last several CD's I bought were all country otherwise!Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03438742588750794854noreply@blogger.com
